Our vision is to create a world where every individual facing homelessness and addiction finds a path to renewal and self-worth through the same grace God has given us. We envision a community connected by the power of the Holy Spirit celebrating the love of Jesus Christ and hope for a future where compassion, faith, and support converge to empower individuals with the essential resources and guidance needed for a transformative journey. By offering a hand up through practical aid, faith-based encouragement, and personalized support, we aim to restore confidence and hope, ensuring that everyone we serve is met with dignity and the opportunity for a secure future. 13 Life Ministries, Inc. is a dedicated mobile outreach ministry and resource center that extends essential services to those in need, embodying a profound commitment to restoring hope and dignity. Our multifaceted approach addresses the immediate and long-term needs of individuals facing homelessness and substance abuse, focusing on practical , mental , physical , and spiritual care with compassion.
At the heart of our mission is our mobile outreach ministry, which reaches out to marginalized communities and individuals where they are, providing vital support and resources. This mobile unit serves as a beacon of hope, offering a wide range of services aimed at addressing the fundamental challenges faced by our clients.
Recognizing the urgent need for shelter, both temporary and permanent, we collaborate with surrounding counties statewide shelters and housing providers to ensure that individuals have a safe place to stay. We also help facilitate overnight hotel cost on a case by case basis , distribute tents , sleeping bags, and supply transportations to the warming station pending inclement weather. Another avenue we utilize is assistance with bus tickets reuniting family members and/or get client connected with homeless rehabilitation centers in their home state .Our efforts are not only limited to immediate shelter but also extend to empowering individuals with the resources and support needed to secure more stable housing solutions for the future.
For those struggling with substance abuse, we provide resources for comprehensive detoxification ,drug rehabilitation, and transportation services. Our approach is compassionate and supportive, recognizing that addiction is a complex issue requiring personalized care and understanding. 24/7 on call.
One of our primary focuses is on assisting individuals in obtaining identification, a crucial step towards accessing other services and opportunities. We understand the barriers that lack of identification can pose and work diligently to navigate these bureaucratic challenges on behalf of our clients.
Basic hygiene is often taken for granted but can profoundly impact self-esteem and well-being. Through our services, individuals have access to showers, haircuts, shaves ,toiletries , clothes (including undergarments, socks, shoes and coats) promoting personal hygiene and boosting confidence.
